About the Project

Sustainabuild aims to implement its vision by empowering women through a comprehensive training program using original informational resources which not only provides opportunity for future employment but also aims at teaching them about specific sustainable materials and how to craft and distribute jute bags. 

Steps taken for the execution of the same include the development of a 6-part manual designed to educate on essential topics like the identification of raw materials and crafting techniques. Additionally a workshop series in collaboration with an NGO will assist in the provision of personal expert-led sessions imparting this information 

Further efforts include a distribution drive, which seeks to replace single-use plastics by distributing jute bags to mid-scale retailers and corner shops in Lucknow. 

To increase general public awareness, the project also includes an informative articles and podcast series focusing on green innovative manufacturing practices, development of sustainable household objects and the benefits of such practices.
